If these openings are large, they could heal with a scar.

Modern liposuction uses micro-cannulas. These are very small suction tubes less than 3 millimeters in diameter. The holes needed for these instruments are so small that they heal almost invisibly. They are so small that they don’t even need stitches.

Sometimes, the skin can be temporarily discolored after the openings close. If this occurs, it isn’t actually a scar. This discoloration fades in time but can be bleached with prescription creams, too.
