Laser Skin Treatments

Laser skin treatments both improve complexion and promote collagen production improving skin tone and texture without any downtime. They improve complexion by reducing the appearance of sun spots, background redness, and dilated blood vessels. They promote collagen production adding structure back to the skin which decreases with age.

Laser skin treatments work by targeting brown and red discoloration apparent on the skin's surface. When aimed at the skin, brown and red colors preferentially absorb the light energy produced by the laser and convert it to heat energy. This energy causes microscopic injury to the areas of discoloration. Over time, your body repairs this injury and removes the areas of discoloration in the process.

Since the injury is microscopic, there is no recovery after these laser treatments. Each treatment takes 10 - 20 minutes, and most patients only have mild redness afterward at most.

Laser treatments can help all skin types from very pale to very dark. They cannot be performed over makeup and are most effective and safest on non-tanned skin. They cannot be performed if you have a lotion-based or sprayed on tan.

Laser treatments cost $500 per treatment or may be purchased in a package of five for $2000.
